The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had himself cupped above the thigh for a contusion from which he suffered.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ احْتَجَمَ عَلَى وَرِكِهِ مِنْ وَثْءٍ كَانَ بِهِ
