If anything remained, she poured it out. She then would steep for him at night. When the morning came, he took his morning meal and drank it after his morning meal. She said: The skin vessel was washed in the morning and in the evening. My father (Hayyan) said to her: Twice a day? She said: Yes.

[Machine] She said: We used to throw water for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a basin, without fermenting it or adding perfume to it. When it was evening, he would drink from it for his dinner, and if there was any left, I would pour it out or pour it on the plants. Then we would wash the basin and throw water in it for his supper. When it was morning, he would drink from it for his breakfast, and if there was any excess, I would pour it out or pour it on the plants. Then I would wash the basin. It was said to him: Did you wash the basin twice? He said: Yes, twice.
