“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed ‘Uthman bin Maz’un when he had died, and it is as if I can see him with his tears flowing down his cheeks.”

قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى دُمُوعِهِ تَسِيلُ عَلَى خَدَّيْهِ

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he kissed Uthman ibn Maz'un while he was dead, and I saw that tears were flowing (from his eyes). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3163)

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الدُّمُوعَ تَسِيلُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الدُّمُوعَ تَسِيلُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed Uthman ibn Mazh'un after his death."

«قَبِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ بَعْدَمَا مَاتَ»

قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَبْلَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ بَعْدَ مَا مَاتَ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed the cheek of Uthman ibn Mazh'un after he died, and it is not known that he kissed anyone other than him."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَبَّلَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ عَلَى خَدِّهِ بَعْدَمَا مَاتَ وَلَا يُعْلَمُ قَبَّلَ أَحَدًا غَيْرَهُ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Uthman ibn Mazh'un while he was dead, he uncovered his face and poured water on him, then he kissed him and cried until I saw tears flowing down his cheeks.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ فَكَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَبَّلَهُ وَبَكَى حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الدُّمُوعَ تَسِيلُ عَلَى وَجْنَتَيْهِ

"عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ قَبَّلَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعونٍ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ حَتَّى سَالَتْ دُمُوعُهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ".
