tirmidhi:3679 – al-Anṣārī > Maʿn > Isḥāq b. Yaḥyá b. Ṭalḥah from his uncle Isḥāq b. Ṭalḥah > ʿĀʾishah

that Abu Bakr entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he said: "You are Allah's 'Atiq from the Fire." From that day on he was called 'Atiq.

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ عَتِيقُ اللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَيَوْمَئِذٍ سُمِّيَ عَتِيقًا هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ مَعْنٍ وَقَالَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
