"Al-Ash'ari said: 'When (the following) was revealed: 'And warn your tribe of near kindred (26:214)' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his fingers in his ears, raised his voice and said: 'O Banu 'Abd Manaf! Hearken!'"  

الترمذي:٣١٨٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ قَسَامَةَ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا الأَشْعَرِيُّ قَالَ

لَمَّا نَزَلََ (وأنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ ) وَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ فَرَفَعَ مِنْ صَوْتِهِ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ يَا صَبَاحَاهُ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُوسَى وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ قَسَامَةَ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُرْسَلاً وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ ذَاكَرْتُ بِهِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ فَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُوسَى

ذِكْرُ إِدْخَالِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ، وَرَفَعِهِ صَوْتَهُ عِنْدَمَا وَصَفْنَاهُ

[Machine] "When the verse {and warn your closest relatives} was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ, al-Ash'ari put his fingers in his ears, raised his voice and said, 'O sons of Abd Manaf.' Then he conveyed the news."  

ابن حبّان:٦٥٥١ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ ابْنِ بِنْتِ أَزْهَرَ السَّمَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ* عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ قَسَامَةَ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ قَالَ قَالَ

الْأَشْعَرِيُّ «لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} وَضَعَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ وَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ وَقَالَ » يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ « ثُمَّ سَاقَ الْخَبَرَ *
