Mutʿah marriage was prohibited the year of the Conquest or the Farewell Ḥajj

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited mutʿah (temporary/pleasure) marriage in the year of the conquest ˹of Makkah.˺

البيهقي:١٤١٥٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ
