[Machine] "Yes, we used to fast it with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before the month of Ramadan was prescribed. But when the month of Ramadan was prescribed, it was abrogated." Then he said, "Sit down," so I sat down and ate."  

الطبراني:٩٩٨٩ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ ثنا بَرَكَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ فَإِذَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ قَصْعَةُ ثَرِيدٍ وَعُرَاوٍ قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا يَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ؟ قَالَ

«نَعَمْ كُنَّا نَصُومُهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفْرَضَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا فُرِضَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ نَسَخَهُ» ثُمَّ قَالَ اقْعُدْ فَقَعَدْتُ وَأَكَلْتُ
