[Machine] "What does 'Umar, the son of Mas'ud, say?" He said, "I did that." They said, "Did you see that?" He said, "Yes." So they said, "We came to seek his advice, and there he is seeking theirs."  

الطبراني:٩٦٩٤حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أُتِيَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ بِرَجُلٍ وُجِدَ مَعَ امْرَأَةٍ فِي لِحَافٍ «§فَضَرَبَهُمَا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ أَرْبَعِينَ سَوْطًا وَأَقَامَهُمَا لِلنَّاسِ» فَذَهَبَ أَهْلُ الْمَرْأَةِ وَأَهْلُ الرَّجُلِ فَشَكَوْا ذَلِكَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ

عُمَرُ لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ مَا يَقُولُ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ قَالَ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ أَوَرَأَيْتَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالُوا أَتَيْنَاهُ نَسْتَأْدِيهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَسْأَلُهُ
