tabarani:9308 – Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > Abū Isḥāq > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yazīd

[Machine] Ibn Mas'ood led us in the night prayer, and he started with Surah Al-Anfal until he reached the verse "What an excellent protector and what an excellent helper" and then he bowed. Then, in the second unit, he recited two separate Surahs.  

الطبراني:٩٣٠٨ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ

صَلَّى بِنَا ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ {نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ} رَكَعَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ

[Machine] Abdullah recited in the last night prayer in the first unit [They ask you about the spoils of war...] until [What an excellent guardian and helper He is] then he bowed, then he recited in the second unit with a chapter from the detailed [Quran]. He said, "Yes."
