[Machine] In His saying "And whoever desires other than Islam as a religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers" (Quran 3:85), Allah warns against deviation and wrongdoing. He declares that those who plan or intend to commit a sin, but have not executed it, will not be held accountable until they actually commit the sin. Likewise, those who plan or intend to commit a sin and execute it only in private will not be punished by death until they are given a taste of painful punishment by Allah.  

الطبراني:٩٠٧٨حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ} بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ قَالَ «مَنْ هَمَّ بِخَطِيئَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا فِي سِوَى الْبَيْتِ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَعْمَلَهَا وَمَنْ هَمَّ بِخَطِيئَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا فِي الْبَيْتِ لَمْ يُمِتْهُ اللهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يُذِيقَهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ»
