[Machine] Abdullah asked, "Do you know how Islam diminishes?" They replied, "It diminishes like the dye on a garment, like the hair on an animal, and like the length of a dirham through excessive use." He said, "Indeed, that is part of it, and even more than that is the death of scholars or their departure."  

الطبراني:٨٩٩١حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ قَالَ

عَبْدُ اللهِ «تَدْرُونَ كَيْفَ يَنْقُصُ الْإِسْلَامُ؟» قَالُوا كَمَا يَنْقُصُ صِبْغُ الثَّوْبِ وَكَمَا يَنْقُصُ مِنَ الدَّابَّةِ وَكَمَا يَقْسُو الدِّرْهَمُ عَنْ طُولِ الْحَبْيِ قَالَ «إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَمِنْهُ وَأَكْثَرُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ مَوْتُ أَوْ ذَهَابُ الْعُلَمَاءِ»
