tabarani:8938 – ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Abū Nuʿaym > al-Masʿūdī > al-Qāsim

[Machine] It was said to Abdullah, "Indeed, Allah abundantly mentions the remembrance of prayer in the Quran, "Those who are constant in their prayer" and "Those who guard their prayer." So Abdullah said, "That is according to its designated times." They said, "O Abu Abdur-Rahman, we used to see those Turks leaving it." Abdullah said, "Leaving it is disbelief."  

الطبراني:٨٩٣٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ

قِيلَ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُكْثِرُ ذِكْرَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْقُرْآنِ {الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ} {وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ} فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «ذَلِكَ عَلَى مَوَاقِيتِهَا» فَقَالُوا يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَرَى ذَاكَ التُّرْكُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «تَرْكُهَا كُفْرٌ»

So Abdullah said, "That is because of its appointed times." We said, "We only used to see him leave it." He said, "Indeed, leaving it is disbelief."
