الطبراني:٨٨٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ سَارَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ حِينَ اسْتُخْلِفَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ §عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ مَاتَ فَلَمْ نَرَ نَشِيجًا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنَّا اجْتَمَعْنَا أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَلَمْ نَأْلُ

عَنْ خَيْرِنَا ذَا فُوقٍ فَبَايَعْنَاهُ فَبَايِعُوا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ»
