[Machine] "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intends to marry a woman from his wives, he would come to her from behind the veil and say to her, 'O my daughter, so-and-so has proposed to you, so if you dislike him, say no. For no one should be ashamed to say no. And if you love him, then your silence shall be considered acceptance.'"  

الطبراني:٨٨حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ أنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُزَوِّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ يَأْتِيهَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحِجَابِ فَيَقُولَ لَهَا «يَا بُنَيَّةُ إِنَّ فُلَانًا قَدْ خَطَبَكِ فَإِنْ كَرِهْتِيهِ فَقُولِي لَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَسْتَحِي أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَا وَإِنْ أَحْبَبْتِ فَإِنَّ سُكُوتَكِ إِقْرَارٌ»
