[Machine] "He carried people for whom nothing stood between them and the water except planks, and I swear by the One in whose hand is my soul, if they perish or even a word similar to it, I will surely take their account from Thaqif."  

الطبراني:٨٣٣٤حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا أَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَمَلَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ نَاسًا فِي الْبَحْرِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ

«حَمَلَ نَاسًا لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْمَاءِ إِلَّا الْأَلْوَاحَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَئِنْ هَلَكُوا أَوْ كَلِمَةٌ نَحْوَهَا لَآخُذَنَّ عِدَّتَهُمْ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ»
