ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

tabarani:7506 – Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Abū Khaythamah > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yūnus al-Raqqī > ʿUqbah b. ʿAlqamah > Arṭāh b. al-Mundhir > Ḍamrah b. Ḥabīb > Abū Umāmah > Tuwuffī a man > ʿAhd Rasūl Allāh

[Machine] A man passed away during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and there was no shroud available for him. So they went to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "Look for the edges of his garment." They found one or two dinars and he said, "Perform the funeral prayer for your companion." Then a man said to me, "May I spend it, O Messenger of Allah?" So he prayed the funeral prayer for him.

الطبراني:٧٥٠٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يُونُسَ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أَرْطَاةَ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ كَفَنٌ فَأَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «انْظُرُوا إِلَى دَاخِلَةِ إِزَارِهِ» فَأُصِيبَ دِينَارٌ أَوْ دِينَارَانِ فَقَالَ «كَيَّتَانِ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبَكُمْ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِلَيَّ قَضَاؤُهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ

[Machine] I heard Abu Umamah say, "A man died during the time of the Prophet ﷺ and they could not find a shroud for him. They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we could not find a shroud for him.' He said, 'Look in his garment.' So they found two dinars and the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Give them as charity and pray for your companion.'"

الطبراني:٧٦٥٤ – حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبِي مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ح وحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصَفَّى ثنا بَقِيَّةُ ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالُوا ثنا أَرْطَاةُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ثنا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ مَعْشَرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُ كَفَنًا فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا لَمْ نَجِدْ لَهُ كَفَنًا قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا فِي مِئْزَرِهِ» فَوَجَدُوا دِينَارَيْنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «كَيَّتَانِ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبَكُمْ»
