مَنِ اسْمُهُ شِهَابٌ شِهَابٌ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ، كَانَ يَنْزِلُ مِصْرَ

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated, Mu'tamir reported from Sulaiman, who reported from Salim ibn Abi Dhiyal, who reported from Abu Sinan, a man from the people of Madinah, who heard Jabir ibn Abdullah narrating from Shihab, a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , that he used to visit Egypt. He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever conceals the fault of a believer, it is as if he has brought a dead person back to life."  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ سَلْمِ بْنِ أَبِي الذَّيَّالِ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ رَجُلٍ مِنَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ شِهَابٍ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنْزِلُ مِصْرَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ سَتَرَ عَلَى مُؤْمِنٍ عَوْرَةً فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا مَيْتًا»
