[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gave us permission to perform Hajj, so we set out. When we reached the mosque near the tree, we stopped and rested. Then we mounted and stood, waiting for the Prophet to mount his conveyance. When we arrived in Mecca, he performed Tawaf (circumambulation) and Sa'i (running between Safa and Marwa) and prayed two Rak'ahs (units of prayer) in which he recited Surah Al-Kafirun (Chapter of the Disbelievers) and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter of Monotheism). Then we performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwa. When we reached Marwa, he said, "Whoever has not brought the sacrificial animal, should remove the Ihram." We said, "O Messenger of Allah! We intended to perform Hajj." He replied, “Hajj is included in the 'Umrah." We encountered difficulties with our wives and our perfumes. When we were between Mina and Muzdalifah and had four days left, our memories began to wander and our wives’ menses started, causing us to have dripping. So Suraqah bin Malik came and said, "Inform us, O Messenger of Allah, like people who were born today. Did Hajj become an obligation for us or will it remain so forever?" He replied, "No, it is not an obligation for us, but it will remain so forever."
