[Machine] "I accused a man in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and then the verse, 'Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price,' was revealed to me."  

الطبراني:٦٤١حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

نَزَلَتْ فِيَّ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ خَاصَمْتُ رَجُلًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَتْ {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا}
