[Machine] Salem, a servant of Abu Hudayfa, used to lead the migrants who immigrated to Medina in prayer, among them Umar and others from the migrants, because he was the most knowledgeable among them in the Quran.  

الطبراني:٦٣٧٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

«أَنَّ سَالِمًا مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ كَانَ يَؤُمُّ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فِيهِمْ عُمَرُ وَغَيْرُهُ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا»
