زُهَيْرُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ الْجُشَمِيُّ «كَانَ يَنْزِلُ الشَّامَ»
[Machine] When the delegation of Hawazin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with their camels, having embraced Islam, they said, "We are a prominent tribe, and we have suffered afflictions that are not hidden from you. So show us the same favor that Allah has shown to you." Then a man from Hawazin, followed by one from the tribe of Bani Sa'd ibn Bakr, known as Zuhayr and nicknamed Abu Surad, said, "O Messenger of Allah, our women are your aunts and your in-laws, and our protective walls are those that have safeguarded you. If only we had joined Harith bin Abi Shimr and Nu'man bin al-Mundhir, then you would have shown us the same compassion and kindness that you have shown them, for you are the best of those who fulfill their obligations." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited a poem in which he mentioned their relations with him and what they had done for him.
