[Machine] Khabbab returned with remnants of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They said, "Rejoice, O Abu Abdullah, your brothers will come before you tomorrow." So he cried and then said, "Indeed, those [companion] have already gone with their rewards, and I fear that my recompense for those actions will be what we have been given after them."  

الطبراني:٣٦١٦حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ

عَادَ خَبَّابًا بَقَايَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا أَبْشِرْ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ إِخْوَانُكَ تَقْدَمُ عَلَيْهِمْ غَدًا فَبَكَى ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ أُولَئِكَ مَضَوْا بِأُجُورِهِمْ وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثَوَابِي لِتِلْكَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا أُوتِينَا بَعْدَهُمْ»
