[Machine] I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) with a group of Azd on a Friday. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) invited us to a meal in front of him. We said, "We are fasting." He asked, "Did you fast yesterday?" We replied, "No." He asked, "Will you fast tomorrow?" We replied, "No." He said, "Then break your fast." Then he said, "Do not fast on Fridays alone."  

الطبراني:٢١٧٣ – حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ عَنْ حُذَافَةَ الْأَزْدِيِّ عَنْ جُنَادَةَ الْأَزْدِيِّ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنَ الْأَزْدِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَدَعَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى طَعَامٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقُلْنَا إِنَّا صِيَامٌ فَقَالَ «صُمْتُمْ أَمْسِ؟» قُلْنَا لَا قَالَ «فَتَصُومُونَ غَدًا؟» قُلْنَا لَا قَالَ «فَأَفْطِرُوا» ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَا تَصُومُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مُفْرَدًا»
