[Machine] Ali ibn Abi Talib proposed to me and the news reached Fatimah, so she went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, Asma is married to Ali." He said, "It was not permissible for her to hurt Allah and His Messenger."  

الطبراني:١٩٣٠٩حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ جَوَّابٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ قَرْمٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ حُرَّةَ عَنْ أَسْمَاءِ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ

خَطَبَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ فَاطِمَةَ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أَسْمَاءَ مُتَزَوِّجَةٌ عَلِيًّا فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَ لَهَا أَنْ تُؤْذِيَ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ»
