[Machine] Because he adopted him and swore to him, and Adam had a thick beard with a long nose. He died in the city at the age of seventy. Uthman ibn Affan prayed for him.  

الطبراني:١٧٧٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ هِشَامٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَكَّائِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ «§الْمِقْدَادُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ مَطْرُودِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ ثَوْرِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ بْنِ هَزْلِ بْنِ قابسِ بْنِ دُرَيْمِ بْنِ الْقَيْنِ بْنِ أَهْودَ بْنِ بَهْرَاءَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَافِ بْنِ قُضَاعَةَ وَإِنَّمَا نُسِبَ إِلَى الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ يَغُوثَ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ

لِأَنَّهُ تَبَنَّاهُ وَحَالَفَهُ وَكَانَ آدَمَ أَبْطَنَ يُصَفِّرُ لِحْيَتَهُ أَقْنَى طَوِيلَ الْأَنْفِ مَاتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ »
