[Machine] I heard for these doctors, saying: "We used to be instructed that if one of us dropped a morsel, they should pick it up, remove any harm from it and eat it, and not leave it for the Devil."  

الطبراني:١٧٦٤٨حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ يَتَغَدَّى إِذْ سَقَطَتْ مِنْهُ لُقْمَةٌ فَأَخَذَهَا فَأَمَاطَ مَا كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى وَأَكَلَهَا فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَصْلِحَ اللهُ الْأَمِيرَ إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَعْلَاجَ يَتَغَامَزُونَ مِنْ أَكْلِكَ اللُّقْمَةَ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ هَذَا الطَّعَامُ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَدَعَ مَا

سَمِعْتُ لِهَؤُلَاءِ الْأَعْلَاجِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نُؤْمَرُ إِنْ أَحَدُنَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَتُهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَهَا فَيُمِيطَ مَا كَانَ بِهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى وَيَأْكُلَهَا وَلَا يَدَعَهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ»
