[Machine] I entered upon Muawiya while he was bandaging himself and his wound was between his shoulders, so he said, "What pleases me is that I do not find anything that you see." I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "No fatigue, illness, anxiety, sorrow, harm or distress befalls a Muslim, even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah expiates some of his sins thereby."  

الطبراني:١٦٩٥٢حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا فَرْوَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَغْرَاءِ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ وَهُوَ يَتَضَوَّرُ وَقَرْحُهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنِّي لَا أَجِدُ مَا تَرَى سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ أَذًى يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ فِي جَسَدِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ كَفَّارَةً لِخَطَايَاهُ»
