[Machine] He witnessed with the Prophet ﷺ on the day of the conquest, and at Khaybar and Taif. He was a poet, so he said, "O Messenger of Allah, teach me poetry." The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is better for the area between your naval and your shoulder to be filled with pus than to be filled with poetry." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, touch my head." So he placed his hand on my head, and after that, I did not utter a single line of poetry. Malik lived until his hair and beard turned gray, and no hair grew in the place where the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ touched.
