[Machine] For the Prophet ﷺ , he was one of the three who renounced but then Allah accepted their repentance. Ka'b said to the Prophet ﷺ , "Indeed, part of my repentance is that I will only speak the truth and I will donate a charity to Allah and His Messenger from all of my wealth." So the Prophet ﷺ said, "Keep some of your wealth for yourself."  

الطبراني:١٦٢١٢حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ تَخَلَّفُوا ثُمَّ تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ كَعْبٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي أَنْ لَا أُحَدِّثَ إِلَّا صِدْقًا وَأَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ مَالِي صَدَقَةً إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ بَعْضَ مَالِكَ»

In the last part of his narration about the three who remained behind (from the battle of Tabuk). (I said) "As a proof of my true repentance (for not joining the Holy battle of Tabuk), I shall give up all my property for the sake of Allah and His Apostle (as an expiation for that sin)." The Prophet ﷺ said (to me), "Keep some of your wealth, for that is better for you."

َقَالَ فِي آخِرِ حَدِيثِهِ إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي أَنِّي أَنْخَلِعُ مِنْ مَالِي صَدَقَةً إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ بَعْضَ مَالِكَ فَهْوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ

"I heard my father Ka'b bin Malik narrate: 'I said: O Messenger of Allah, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has saved me by my being truthful, and as part of my repentance I want to give my wealth in charity to Allah and His Messenger. He said: Keep some of your wealth for yourself; that is better for you. I said: I will keep my share that is in Khaibar.'"
