[Machine] I arrived in Basra and found Abu Nujayd Imran bin Al-Husayn there. He was sent by Umar bin Al-Khattab to learn the jurisprudence of the people of Basra.  

الطبراني:١٥٣٣٨حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدُّؤَلِيِّ قَالَ

«قَدِمْتُ الْبَصْرَةَ وَبِهَا أَبُو نُجَيْدٍ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ وَكَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ بَعَثَهُ بِفِقْهِ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ»
