[Machine] He was the leader of his people and he had witnessed the Battle of Badr. He said to the Prophet ﷺ that when my eyesight started to deteriorate, Ali gave me permission to have a prayer area between me and my people's mosque. He said to the Prophet ﷺ on a Friday, "O Messenger of Allah, what if you come to me and pray in a place in my house that I designate as a prayer area?" The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "I will do that." So, the Prophet ﷺ came on Saturday with Abu Bakr and Umar. He entered and did not sit down until he asked, "Where would you like me to pray in your house?" I pointed to the direction that I desired, and he prayed Dhuha in it. And we detained him on a cloak made for him.

أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِمَامَ قَوْمِهِ وَقَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ لَمَّا سَاءَ بَصَرِي شَقَّتْ عَلِيَّ إِجَازَةُ الْوَادِي إِذَا سَالَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ مَسْجِدِ قَوْمِي فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ أَرَأَيْتَنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ أَتَيْتَنِي فَصَلَّيْتَ فِي مَكَانٍ مِنْ بَيْتِي أَتَّخِذُهُ مُصَلًّى فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «سَأَفْعَلُ» فَغَدَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ؓ فَدَخَلَ فَمَا جَلَسَ حَتَّى قَالَ «أَيْنَ تُحِبُّ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فِي بَيْتِكَ؟» فَأَشَرْتُ إِلَى النَّاحِيَةِ الَّتِي أَرَدْتُ فَصَلَّى فِيهَا ضُحَى وَحَبَسْنَاهُ عَلَى خَزِيرَةٍ يُصْنَعُ لَهُ
