أَسْلَمُ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ
[Machine] His father Ayoub asked him, "Why did you delay this prayer, when you are among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and it seems to others that it is its time?" We said, "O Abu Ayoub, how did you used to pray it?" He said, "We used to pray it when the sun set and the stars appeared." Is that how you used to pray it, O Uqbah? He said, "Yes."
لَهُ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ لِمَ تُؤَخِّرُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَرَاكَ مَنْ لَمْ يَصْحَبْهُ فَيَظُنَّ أَنَّهُ وَقْتُهَا؟ فَقُلْنَا يَا أَبَا أَيُّوبَ كَيْفَ كُنْتُمْ تُصَلُّونَهَا؟ قَالَ «كُنَّا نُصَلِّيهَا حِينَ تَجِبُ الشَّمْسُ يُبَادِرُونَها النُّجُومَ» كَذَاكَ يَا عُقْبَةُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»
