tabarani:14612ʿIṣmah

[Machine] A slave stole during the time of the Prophet PBUH, so he was brought to the attention of the Messenger of Allah PBUH, and he forgave him. Then he was brought to him a second time and he had stolen again, so he forgave him. Then he was brought to him a third time and he had stolen again, so he forgave him. Then he was brought to him a fourth time and he had stolen again, so he forgave him. Then he was brought to him a fifth time and he had stolen again, so his hand was cut off. Then he was brought to him a sixth time and his leg was cut off. Then he was brought to him a seventh time and his hand was cut off. Then he was brought to him an eighth time and his leg was cut off. The Messenger of Allah PBUH said, "It is four for four."  

الطبراني:١٤٦١٢وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ عِصْمَةَ قَالَ

سَرَقَ مَمْلُوكٌ فِي عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَفَا عَنْهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ الثَّانِيَةَ وَقَدْ سَرَقَ فَعَفَا عَنْهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ الثَّالِثَةَ فَعَفَا عَنْهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ الرَّابِعَةَ وَقَدْ سَرَقَ فَعَفَا عَنْهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ الْخَامِسَةَ وَقَدْ سَرَقَ فَقَطَعَ يَدَهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ السَّادِسَةَ فَقَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ السَّابِعَةَ فَقَطَعَ يَدَهُ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ الثَّامِنَةَ فَقَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَرْبَعٌ بِأَرْبَعٍ»
