[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ conquered Mecca, Iblis trembled with fear. His soldiers gathered around him and he said, "We have lost hope of getting the nation of Muhammad to commit shirk (associating partners with Allah) after today. But let us tempt them in their religion and spread among them hypocrisy."  

الطبراني:١٢٣١٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ الْقُمِّيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ

لَمَّا افْتَتَحَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَكَّةَ رَنَّ إِبْلِيسُ رَنَّةً اجْتَمَعَتْ إِلَيْهِ جُنُودُهُ فَقَالَ ايْئَسُوا أَنْ نُرِيدَ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَى الشِّرْكِ بَعْدَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا وَلَكِنِ افْتُنُوهُمْ فِي دِينِهِمْ وَأَفْشُوا فِيهِمُ النَّوْحَ
