[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Ansar, who is your leader?" They said, "Jadd ibn Qais, and we indeed honor him." He said, "He is not your leader, but your leader is Amr ibn al-Jamu'." And he was generous.

الطبراني:١٢١١٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَنِيفَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا حَمْزَةُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الشِّيرَازِيُّ ثنا أَبُو سَمُرَةَ قَاضِي حَوَرٍ ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ مَنْ سَيِّدُكُمْ؟» قَالُوا جَدُّ بْنُ قَيْسٍ وَإِنَّا لَنُبَجِّلُهُ قَالَ «لَيْسَ سَيِّدَكُمْ وَلَكِنْ سَيِّدُكُمْ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْجَمُوحِ» وَكَانَ سَخِيًّا
