[Machine] "Do I shorten the prayer while on a journey?" Ibn Abbas replied, "It is not shortened, but rather it is complete, and it is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ . He (the Prophet) went out on a journey feeling safe, fearing only Allah, and he prayed two rak'ahs until he returned."  

الطبراني:١١٢٦٨حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الضَّمْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ

إِنِّي أُسَافِرُ فَأَقْصِرُ الصَّلَاةَ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ لَيْسَ بِقَصْرٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ تَمَامُهَا وَسُنَّةُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آمِنًا لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا اللهَ فَصَلَّى اثْنَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ»
