[Machine] What do you say about Abu Bakr? May Allah have mercy on him, Abu Bakr was truly devoted to the Quran, constantly inclined towards good, avoiding indecency, forbidding evil, knowledgeable about his religion, fearful of Allah, avoiding things that lead to destruction, standing in prayer at night, fasting during the day, detached from worldly pursuits, committed to justice, commanding good, patient in facing hardships, grateful in all circumstances, remembering Allah at dawn and evening, overpowering his desires for personal gain, surpassing his companions in piety, self-sufficiency, asceticism, chastity, righteousness, protection, and moderation. May Allah grant victory to those who revile him and curse him, until the Day of Judgment.  

الطبراني:١٠٥٨٩gحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَيْثَمٍ الْهِلَالِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ وَقَدْ تَحَلَّفَتْ عِنْدَهُ بُطُونُ قُرَيْشٍ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ الْعَاصِ جَالِسٌ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ يَا سَعِيدُ وَاللهِ لَأُلْقِيَنَّ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَسَائِلَ يَعْيَى بِجِوَابِهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعِيدٌ لَيْسَ مِثْلُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَعْيَى بِمَسَائِلِكَ فَلَمَّا جَلَسَ قَالَ

لَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ مَا تَقُولُ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ؟ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللهُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ كَانَ وَاللهِ لِلْقُرْآنِ تالِيًا وَعَنِ الْمَيْلِ نَائِيًا وَعَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ سَاهِيًا وَعَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ناهِيًا وَبِدِينِهِ عارِفًا وَمِنَ اللهِ خَائِفًا وَعَنِ الْمُهْلِكَاتِ جَانِفًا وَبِاللَّيْلِ قَائِمًا وَبِالنَّهَارِ صَائِمًا وَمِنْ دُنْيَاهُ سَالِمًا وَعَلَى عَدْلِ الْبَرِيَّةِ عازِمًا وَبِالْمَعْرُوفِ آمِرًا وَإِلَيْهِ صَابِرًا وَفِي الْأَحْوَالِ شَاكِرًا وَلِلَّهِ فِي الْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ ذَاكِرًا وَلِنَفْسِهِ بِالْمَصَالِحِ قاهِرًا فَاقَ وَرَاقَ أَصْحَابَهُ وَرَعًا وَكَفَافًا وَزُهْدًا وَعَفَافًا وَبِرًّا وَحِيَاطَةً وَزَهَادَةً وَكِفَايَةً فَأَعْقَبَ اللهُ مَنْ ثَلَبَهُ اللَّعَائِنَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
