"إِنِّى مَرَرْتُ بقَبْر وَهُوَ يُسْألُ عَنِّى فَقَالَ: لا أدْرِى، فَقُلْتُ: لا دَرَيْتَ" .  

ز والبغوى وابن السَّكَن وابن قانع، طب عن أَيوب بن بشير المعاوى عن أَبيه، قال البغوى: وَلا أعْلَمُ له غيره، وَفِى الإِصابَةِ اسم أبيه أَكال. (وَرِجالُه مُوَثَّقُون)
