"إِنما تَرَكْتُكَ لِنفْسِى، أَنْت أَخِى وأَنَا أَخُوكَ، فإِنْ حَاجَّكَ أَحَدٌ فَقُلْ: أَنا عَبْدُ اللَّه، وَأَخُو رسُوله، لَا يَدعِيها أحَدٌ بَعْدَكَ إِلَّا كذَّاب".

"آخَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَتَرَكَنِى فَقُلتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ! آخَيْتَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِكَ وَتَرَكْتَنِى؟ قَالَ: وَلِم (تَرَنِى تَرَكتُكَ؟ إنَّمَا) تَرَكْتُكَ لِنَفْسِى، أَنْتَ أخِى وَأَنَا أَخُوكَ. قَالَ: فَإِنْ حَاجَّكَ أحَدٌ فَقُلْ: إِنِّى عَبْدُ اللهِ، وَأَخُو رَسُولِهِ لا يَدَّعِيهَا أَحَدٌ بَعْدَكَ إِلَّا كَذَّابٌ".
