"إِنَّمَا يَكْفِى إِحدَاكُنَّ أَن تَتَّخِذَ جُمَانًا من فِضةٍ، ثم تأخذ شيْئًا من زَعْفَرَان فتديفه ثم تلطخه عليه فإِذَا هُوَ كأنه ذهبٌ".

(الجمان: الدُّرُّ والياقوت، ويقال: دِفْتُ الدُّواءَ أَدُوفه وأَدِيفُهُ إِذا بلَلْتُهُ بالماءِ فهو مَدُوف ومَدِيفُ)
