"عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ: أَنَّ أمَّ حَبِيبَة بنت جَحْشٍ اسْتُحِيضَت عَلَى عَهْدِ رسُولِ اللَّه ﷺ فَسَأَلَتْ عَنْ ذَلِك النَّبِىَّ ﷺ أو سئل لَهَا؟ فَأَمَرَهَا أَنَّ تَنْتَظِر أَيَّام أقرائها ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِل، فَإِنْ رَأَت شَيْئًا بَعْد ذَلِكَ احْتَشَتْ، واستذْفَرتْ، وَتَوَضَّأَتْ، وَصَلَّتْ".

Ikrimah said: Umm Habibah daughter of Jahsh had a prolonged flow of blood. The Prophet ﷺ commanded her to refrain (from prayer) during her menstrual period; then she should wash and pray, if she sees anything (which renders ablution void) she should perform ablution and pray.
