" عَنْ عَبْدِ المُنَعم بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أسْلَمَ، عَنْ أبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّه: أَنَّهُ سَافَرَ مَعَ النبِىِّ ﷺ سَفْرَتَيْنِ".  

ابن منده، وعبد المنعم جرَّحه ابن معين. قال في الإصابة والمعروف أن عمر اشترى أسلم بعد وفاة النبي ﷺ ، كذلك ذكره ابن إسحاق وغيره
