"عَنْ عَدىِّ بنِ عَدِىِّ الْكِنْدِىِّ قَالَ: خَاصَمَ رَجُلٌ الأَشْعَثَ فِى أَرْضٍ أَوْ دَارٍ، قَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ بَيِّنتَكَ أَوْ يَمِينهُ؟ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَمَا إِذ صَارَتْ يَمِينُهُ فَقَدْ ذَهَبَتْ وَالله الدَّارُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ دَعْهُ فَإِنْ حَلَفَ عَلَيْهَا كَاذِبًا لَمْ يَغْفِرْهَا الله لَهُ فَرَدَّ إِلَيْهِ الأَشْعَتُ دَارَهُ وَلَمْ يَحْلف عَلَيْهَا".
