[Machine] During the Battle of Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to pray at night, and some of his companions gathered behind him to guard him. When he finished praying and turned to face them, he said, "Tonight, I have been given five things that no one before me has been given. As for me, I have been sent to all people in general, while those before me were only sent to their own people. I have been aided against the enemy by fear, so if there was a month's distance between me and them, it would be filled with fear from me. The spoils of war have been made lawful for me to consume, whereas those before me would consider them prohibited and destroy them. The entire Earth has been made a place of worship and purification for me, so wherever the prayer time reaches me, I perform ablution and pray. Those before me considered this only in their places of worship and homes. And the fifth thing is what I was told to ask for, and every prophet before me has asked for that. However, I have delayed my request until the Day of Resurrection, and it belongs to you and to whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَامَ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّي فَاجْتَمَعَ وَرَاءَهُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَحْرُسُونَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا صَلَّى وَانْصَرَفَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ لَقَدْ أُعْطِيتُ اللَّيْلَةَ خَمْسًا مَا أُعْطِيَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كُلِّهِمْ عَامَّةً وَكَانَ مَنْ قَبْلِي إِنَّمَا يُرْسَلُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ وَنُصِرْتُ عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ بِالرُّعْبِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ مَسِيرَةُ شَهْرٍ لَمُلِئَ مِنْهُ رُعْبًا وَأُحِلَّتْ لِي الْغَنَائِمُ آكُلُهَا وَكَانَ مَنْ قَبْلِي يُعَظِّمُونَ أَكْلَهَا كَانُوا يُحْرِقُونَهَا وَجُعِلَتْ لِي الْأَرْضُ مَسَاجِدَ وَطَهُورًا أَيْنَمَا أَدْرَكَتْنِي الصَّلَاةُ تَمَسَّحْتُ وَصَلَّيْتُ وَكَانَ مَنْ قَبْلِي يُعَظِّمُونَ ذَلِكَ إِنَّمَا كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ فِي كَنَائِسِهِمْ وَبِيَعِهِمْ وَالْخَامِسَةُ هِيَ مَا هِيَ قِيلَ لِي سَلْ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ نَبِيٍّ قَدْ سَأَلَ فَأَخَّرْتُ مَسْأَلَتِي إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَهِيَ لَكُمْ وَلِمَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ  

"لَقدْ أُعْطِيتُ الَّليلَةَ خَمْسًا مَا أُعْطِيَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي: أَمَّا أَوَّلَهُنَّ فَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كلِّهِمْ عَامَّةً، وَكَانَ مَنْ قَبْلِي إِنَّمَا يُرْسَلُ إِلَى قَومِهِ، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ عَلَى العَدُوِّ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَينَى وَبَينَه مَسِيَرةُ شَهرٍ لَمُلِئَ منِّي رُعْبًا، وَأُحلَّتْ لِي الْغَنَائِمُ، وَكَانَ مَنْ قَبْلِي يُعَظِّمُونَهَا، كَانُوا يَحْرِقُونَها، وجُعِلَت لي الأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا، أَينَمَا أَدْرَكَتْنِى الصَّلاةُ تَمَسَّحْتُ وَصَلَّيتُ، وَكَانَ مَن قَبْلى يُعَظِمونَ ذَلك، إنما كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ فِي كَنَائِسهِمْ وَبِيَعهِمْ، وَالخامِسةُ هِى مَا هِى، قِيل لِي: سَلْ، فإِنَّ كُلَّ نَبيٍّ قَدْ سَأَلَ فَادَّخَرْتُ مَسْأَلَتِى إِلى يَوْمِ الْقيامَةِ، فَهى لَكُمْ وَلِمَن شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِله إِلا اللهُ".
