"ثَلاَثُ خِصَالٍ لِعَلىٍّ رَضِى الله تَعَالَى عَنْهُ لأَنْ تكُونَ لِى واحدةٌ مِنْهُنَّ أَحَبُّ إلَىَّ مِنْ حُمْرِ النَّعَمِ: زَوَّجَهُ ابْنَتَهُ فَولَدَتْ لَهُ، وَسَدَّ الأَبْوابَ إِلا بَابَهُ، وَأَعْطَاهُ الجِزْيةَ يَوْمَ خَيْبر".
[Machine] We used to say in the time of the Prophet ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah was the best of people, then Abu Bakr, then Umar. And indeed, the son of Abu Talib was granted three qualities, one of which, if given to me, would be more beloved to me than the red camels. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married his daughter to him, and she gave birth to his children. He closed all the doors of the Mosque except for his own door. And he gave him the banner on the day of Khaybar.
كُنَّا نَقُولُ فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَسُولُ اللهِ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ ثُمَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ وَلَقَدْ أُوتِيَ ابْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثَلَاثَ خِصَالٍ لَأَنْ تَكُونَ لِي وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ حُمْرِ النَّعَمِ زَوَّجَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ابْنَتَهُ وَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ وَسَدَّ الْأَبْوَابَ إِلَّا بَابَهُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَعْطَاهُ الرَّايَةَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ
