"عَنِ ابْنِ عَباسٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِىَّ بْن أَبِى طَالِبٍ يُرَدِّدُ أَبْيَاتًا فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤمِنِين عَلِّمْنِيَها: فَقَالَ: قُلْ:

لَا تَبْكِ لِلدُّنْيَا وَلَا أَهْلِهَا ... وَابْكِ لِيَوْمٍ تَسْكُنُ الْحَافِرَةَ ()

وَابْكِ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ أَهْلُ الثَّرَى ... فَاسْتُوقِفُوا فِى سَاحَة السَّاهِرَةِ ( *)

وَيْحَكِ يَا دُنْيَا لَقَدْ قَصَّرْتِ ... آمَالَ مَنْ يُسْكِنُكِ الآخِرَة".
