Abu Hurairah reported I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ, What kind of sadaqah is most excellent? He replied What a man with little property can afford to give; and begin with those for whom you are responsible.

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ جُهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

Abu Hurairah reported I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ, What kind of sadaqah is most excellent? He replied What a man with little property can afford to give; and begin with those for whom you are responsible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1677)

"The Messenger of Allah said: "The best of charity is that which is given when you are self-sufficient, and start with those for whom you are responsible."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2544)

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best charity is that which is practiced by a wealthy person. And start giving first to your dependents." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1426)

"أفْضَلُ الصَّدَقِةَ ما كان عن ظهرِ غنىً، وابدأ بمن تَعُولُ".

"أَفْضَلُ الصَّدقِة: سِرٌّ إلى فَقيرٍ، وَجُهْدٌ من مُقِّلٍ ".

"أفْضَلُ الصَّدقَةِ: في رمضان" .

"أفْضَلُ الصدقِة: جَهْدَ المُقلِّ، وابدأ بمن تَعُولُ"

"أفْضَلُ الصدقِة: سَقىُ الماءِ" .

"أَفْضَلُ الصدقةِ حِفْظُ اللسانِ" .

"أفضل الصدقةِ حفظُ اللسانِ".

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَال: قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ الله: أيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: جهْد الْمُقِلِّ، وَابْدأ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ".
