[Machine] “Perform al-Atiraj like the Atirah of the pre-Islamic era? But whoever among you wishes to slaughter for Allah, and then eat and give in charity, let him do so.”

Tabarani, in Al-Kabir, narrates from Ibn ‘Abbas: (Quraysh asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for permission regarding the ‘atirah, saying, “O Messenger of Allah, do we perform ‘Atirah in Rajab?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, “Atr?” and he mentioned it. And (as they held it), they used to slaughter, then go to the blood of their slaughtered animals and wipe it on the heads of their idols.)
