السيوطي:٢-٢١٥٧b –

"عَن المطلب بن عبد اللَّه بن حنْطَب وأبى جعفر قالا: قال عمر لأهل الشورى: إذا اختلفتم دخل عليكم معاوية بن أَبى سفيان من الشام وبعده عبدُ اللَّه بن أَبى ربيعة من اليمن فلَا يريان لكم فضلًا إلا لسابقتكم".
