"عَنْ أَبِى الأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ وَجَدَ مَعَ رَجُلٍ مُصْحَفًا قَدْ كَتَبَهُ بِقَلَمٍ دَقِيقٍ فَقَالَ: مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ: الْقُرآنُ كُلُّهُ، فَكَرِه ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ وَضَرَبَهُ، وَقَالَ: عَظِّمُوا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ عُمَرُ إِذَا رَأَى مُصْحَفًا عظِيمًا سَرَّهُ".
